The community uses a play-by-post method of rpg. We are open to all levels and forms of roleplay. This thread will teach a little bit about how we use plot topics instead of the actual topics and replies method of roleplay. Liquid time and time skips will also be covered here. If you have any questions, please review frequently asked questions in the Help Desk before posting a new help topic.
Plot topics
When you begin roleplaying, you may start at any place you like. Your character may be known in rp or you may start off with introduction. How you enter the rp is your creative freedom. When you create your plot topic, you may give it a nice title. Ex. “Callas’ Monster Nightmare” or “A Troublesome Thought.” You may put whatever information you like in your topics, or you can get right to the point and roleplay away. When you are finished with a plot, please put “Finished!” at the end of the post of the last user who posted. We will lock and move your topic to the “Histories” forum. You will be able to view the old topic at anytime. These will come in handy when you update your Character Sheets.
Liquid Time
You are able to start wherever you want in the roleplay. You can also be in more than one thread at the same time; that is liquid time. Let’s say you are in “Adrians Zarim” thread and you want to join in on another plot at the same time. You can do this as long as the events of your character go in what you could call a timeline of events. If your character is talking to someone in “Adrians Zarim” and he or she is injured, another thread you join should either display time before or after the injury. You cannot be injured in one thread and act like it didn’t happen at all. In-between events may happen as well.
Time Skips
Some of the major things in rp are pretty lesser important. To keep to the rules, certain things are time skipped. If your character has a mate and you want to have a litter, we don’t play out the deep details. Sexual intercourses are time skipped. As of right now this is the only exception for time skips.
NPC Interactions
We have an NPC pack that haunts and challenges FFP members. They participate in hunts, quests, events, and whenever the Staff decide to have a bit of fun outside plot involved events. The accounts of NPCs do not take away the names future members may want to use. If an NPC has a name you want for your character, you can still use that desired name. NPC interactions are opportunities to gain skill points depending on how your character reacts to the NPC. There is no given scripts or criteria, so get creative but make it challenging and enjoyable too
